H2-View News: Oxfordshire funds hydrogen refuelling infrastructure for emergency vehicle trials

The Hydrogen Fuel Cell Range Extended Fire Engine Prototype (Hyer Power) project will trial up to three fuel cell-powered vehicles, including a fire engine, ambulance and road sweeper. As the lead partner in the £8m ($10.3m) initiative, UlemCo will direct the funding towards the development of essential hydrogen refuelling infrastructure. Hungerford-based Fuel Cell Systems will provide the refuelling equipment. Since 2016, the company has developed three generations of mobile hydrogen refuelling trucks. Awarded by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), the Vast Solar 1 (VS1) initiative is part of the Port Augusta Green Energy Hub and includes an option to power a co-located green methanol production facility called Solar Methanol 1 (SM1). Set to be developed in partnership with German company Mabanaft, SM1 will produce green methanol derived from hydrogen in South Australia. H2-View News: Lifte H2 and Resato to build hydrogen refuelling station in Kreis Düren to support bus fleet expansion

The two company-consortium was selected by Beteiligungsgesellschaft Kreis Düren, a subsidiary of the district of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia. The facility will be developed in two phases, initially supporting 23 hydrogen-powered buses before expanding to accommodate an additional 29. During the first phase, buses are expected to refuel in under four hours, with the facility ultimately reaching a full capacity of 1.2 tonnes. H2-View News: Latvenergo partners with H2Pro to explore 5MW hydrogen project using decoupled electrolysis

Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Israel’s H2Pro will work with Latvia’s national electricity company, Latvenergo, to explore the feasibility of deploying its 5MW electrolyser in the latter’s energy infrastructure. Together, they aim to integrate Latvia’s solar and wind resources to power with H2Pro’s electrolysis technology. H2-View News: TotalEnergies secures 15-year supply from RWE’s 300MW green hydrogen plant

The French oil major will use the volumes in its Leuna refinery in Saxony-Anhalt from 2030 to replace some of the grey hydrogen used in its operations. The hydrogen will be delivered via a 600km section of Germany’s planned 9,000km hydrogen core network (HCN), until the contract’s conclusion in 2044. Incitias Pty is leading construction under its engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) contract at the University of Adelaide’s Roseworthy Campus, after the Light Regional Council approved planning consent. Sparc also secured the first patent for its licensed PWS reactor technology in Q1 2025. The pilot plant, set for commissioning in mid-2025, will test reactor designs and photocatalyst materials under concentrated solar conditions. H2-View News: Samsung E&A to become Nel’s largest shareholder and hydrogen plant EPC partner

Under an EPC collaboration agreement, the South Korean firm will develop its own hydrogen plant designs based on both Nel’s alkaline and PEM electrolyser stack and balance of stack technology. In a separate agreement, Nel plans to issue 167,132,530 shares to Samsung E&A for NOK 353m ($33.1m) to give the company a 9.1% shareholding in Nel. The share sale is subject to board approval.
