Last month, at the World Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam, we launched ‘Hydrogen for a Resilient World’ – a CEO-led Call-to-Action urging governments to accelerate hydrogen deployment as a cornerstone of energy resilience, security and decarbonisation.
In our latest video, Hydrogen Council member CEOs and senior leaders explain why hydrogen is a strategic choice for achieving deep electrification and enduring resilience in a rapidly changing world.
Filmed at the World Hydrogen Summit, the message is very clear:
-
Capital is committed, with more than $110bn committed across 510+ projects globally.
-
Technologies are proven at industrial scale and infrastructure is being built.
-
The next wave of investment requires policy certainty.
-
Key growth markets around the world are showing how key challenges can be addressed, whether it’s cost or offtake agreements.
-
2026 can be a breakthrough year for clean hydrogen if supply, demand and policy align.
The Call-to-Action sets out three priorities for governments:
1️⃣ Act now – embed hydrogen in emergency crisis response measures
2️⃣ Activate demand creation tools
3️⃣ Boost critical infrastructure investment
As a global industry, we stand ready to work with governments, lead through this pivotal moment of change, build up hydrogen as a strategic system enabler, and together deliver a more resilient world.
