H2-View News: Sungrow expands electrolysis testing capacity to 30MW in China
In a bid to “meet diverse needs” and address “industry pain points,” Sungrow has added a 10MW+ alkaline electrolyser testing platform and a 2.5MW PEM testing system. The Chinese electrolyser manufacturer has stated its alkaline platform can achieve full-scenario testing capabilities, including stack testing (1,000-3,000Nm3/hr) and 4×1,000Nm3/hr multi-stack system coordination. H2 View understands that Sungrow’s testing operations will enhance reliability with extreme condition simulations, ensure 99.999% purity through advanced power and separation systems, and integrate AI-driven leak detection with rapid emergency shutdown controls. In an online statement, Sungrow said, “The upgrade of the base signifies not just an increase in [...]
H2-View News: Air Liquide, TotalEnergies plan 450MW of Dutch hydrogen electrolyser projects
Combined, the two projects will produce up to 53,000 tonnes of “low-carbon and renewable” hydrogen per year from 450MW of electrolysis, powered by TotalEnergies’ renewable assets. The first project, ELYgator, will see the French industrial gas major build, own and operate a 200MW electrolyser in Maasvlakte, Rotterdam, which will produce up to 23,000 tonnes of hydrogen per year. Expected to become operational at the end of 2027, ELYgator will supply TotalEnergies’ existing industrial platform through a “long-term contract,” as well as Air Liquide’s other Dutch and Belgian customers through its existing hydrogen pipeline network. The plant has already secured funding [...]
H2-View News: H2Terminals to distribute hydrogen through East London pipeline network
Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), H2Terminals will supply hydrogen from its offshore Energy Island project located in the North Sea, which will be liquefied and transported by specialised vessels to terminals on the Thames Estuary. The pipeline, part of Cadent, SGN and National Grid Gas Transmission’s joint venture Capital Hydrogen, could carry up to 10 tonnes of hydrogen per day once fully operational in 2030. Jacobs was selected last year to carry out the pre-FEED studies for the 56-mile network. H2-View News: Automation and modular electrolysers could accelerate hydrogen rollout: whitepaper
More flexible and cost-effective solutions – like modularised electrolysers – are needed to scale production and develop offtake agreements while larger-scale projects lag. The paper, hosted on h2-view.com, says that smaller-scale and modular routes could become more common, as companies look to spread the cost of adoption – with the technology being easier to transport, construct and install than large-scale plants. However, despite those benefits, it warns that there are issues around safety and efficiency to be considered to ensure the success of smaller-scale systems. “To be successful they must be safe, flexible and easily integrated into existing processes,” the [...]
H2-View News: ENEOS to divest JXAM stake and redirect capital to hydrogen and synthetic fuels
The largest oil refiner in Japan will sell more than 460 million shares in JXAM, with an option to over-allot an additional 69.8 million shares, reducing its total ownership from 100% to 42.4%. The initial public offering (IPO) reportedly represents Japan’s largest in seven years on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. ENEOS aims to increase investment in its energy transition strategies, with a focus on producing cost-competitive hydrogen overseas before transporting it into Japan. They have been exploring methods including liquid hydrogen, organic hydrides and ammonia for large-scale hydrogen storage and transport. In an online statement, ENEOS outlined that the sale [...]

H2-View News: GreenGo secures 100,000 hectares for scaled-down Mauritania hydrogen plant
The Danish developer signed an agreement with the African nation’s energy and petroleum minister for the land near Nouakchott, where it now intends to build 13.1GW of wind and solar capacity to power 6GW of electrolysis. However, it originally unveiled plans to build 60GW of renewables capacity and 35GW of electrolysis to produce 18 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of green ammonia. Read more: Plans to produce four million tonnes of green hydrogen per year in Mauritania revealed The project will also adopt a phased approach, with 500MW of electrolysis and 1.2GW of combined wind and solar planned to be [...]
H2-View News: Major Morocco green hydrogen and ammonia project gathers momentum
Dahamco President Tom Hanson said phase 1 would produce nearly one million tonnes per year from 2031 and cost around $4.04bn. Further phases would be commissioned at intervals of four-to-five years, potentially creating a project worth $25bn. Moroccan media has reported the project will launch ‘soon’, without giving dates or confirmation. The hydrogen and ammonia production will be exclusively for export, especially to the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp region, for use in industry and maritime transport. Partners in the project include TAQA Morocco – the Moroccan subsidiary of the UAE group TAQA -, AP Moller Capital (Denmark), and Moroccan companies Dahamco, Ornx Boujdour [...]
H2-View News: KGM and PHINIA to jointly develop 2-litre hydrogen engine
The South Korean automobile manufacturer (formerly SsangYong) stated that the vehicle would comply with NOx emission regulations and deliver a driving range of over 500 km with its engine. As a result, it will be marketed for both industrial and automotive applications. Under the partnership, PHINIA will supply hydrogen and diesel engine components, including engine management systems (EMS), injectors, and pumps. Meanwhile, KGM will contribute its in-house engine technology and integrate it with PHINIA’s fuel injection systems and ECU technology. The two companies will implement the project as part of the South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy (MOTIE) [...]
