H2-View News: Fabrum partners with Sumitomo Australia to offer financing for liquid hydrogen systems
The containerised portable liquefiers, housed in 20-foot and 40-foot containers, are available in configurations producing either 35kg, 75kg, or 400kg of liquid hydrogen per day. Through this partnership, the New Zealand-based firm will expand its customer base into the neighbouring Australian market. This growth will be driven by a subsidiary of Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation, a specialist in importing and supplying equipment. “There is a growing shift towards innovation to support liquid hydrogen as a fuel for aircraft and trucks, coupled with demand for portable systems that can be easily deployed at airfields or truck stops,” explained Christopher Boyle, Fabrum’s Co-Founder [...]
H2-View News: €2.3bn Finnish scheme offers tax credits to hydrogen producers, electrolyser makers
The scheme under Finland’s state aid rules will provide tax credits to renewable fuel producers, industrial end-users and clean technology manufacturers. The first subsidy will support investments in renewable fuel production, as well as the storage of electricity and renewable fuels such as green hydrogen, biofuels, and more. Tax credits will also be offered to industrial players looking to reduce their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by at least 40% and/or reduce energy consumption by at least 20%. Electrolyser makers, alongside solar, wind, heat pump, battery and CCUS tech manufacturers, can claim the tax credit for new investments in production facilities. [...]
H2-View News: US hydrogen industry pleads with Congress to preserve 45V tax credit
Sent today (February 18) by a coalition of businesses and organisations representing the American hydrogen industry, the letter said the sector has been “hamstrung by delays in the regulatory guidance for this credit by the Biden Administration” over the past two and a half years. Read more: US Treasury relaxes 45V hydrogen tax credit rules and opens nuclear pathway The letter added, “With the final rulemaking just being issued this January, our industry is now poised to invest billions of dollars in deployments and manufacturing facilities across the country. “However, that private sector investment is at risk due to the [...]
H2-View News: Viritech explores hydrogen fuel cell range extender to enhance battery-electric vehicle performance
The feasibility study will focus on integrating portable sub-5kW fuel cells with existing battery packs to increase vehicle range while maintaining payload capacity and meeting regulatory requirements. In an online statement, Viritech claimed there is “significant market potential” in using these solutions for on and off-highway electric vehicles. “Currently, battery electric last-mile delivery vehicles are restricted in terms of their range,” the statement read. “Particularly when faced with challenging use cases such as extreme weather conditions, congested urban areas and undulating terrains.” By using portable fuel cells in conjunction with the battery packs, Viritech aims to “establish a gateway for [...]
H2-View News: Enagás commits €3.13bn to hydrogen infrastructure, overtaking gas assets by 2030
The company said green hydrogen infrastructure would be its “main growth driver” and account for 83% of its $4.03bn six-year investment plan. In doing so, Enagás believes it will enable 9.5% compound annual EBITDA growth between 2026 and 2030. “With this investment plan, Enagás will increase its regulated assets between 2025 and 2030 to almost €5bn ($5.2bn),” the company said. “By 2030, the company’s hydrogen assets will exceed its natural gas assets.” It comes after the operator completed the conceptual design of the Spanish Hydrogen Backbone, ahead of taking final investment decision (FID) on the 2,700km network, with two underground [...]
H2-View News: Aslan inks 100,000 tonne hydrogen supply deal with California’s CalYan
Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Aslan will deliver the hydrogen from its plant in Sonora, Mexico, to San Fransico. The company will be responsible for the hydrogen delivery from Mexico and to California, which will likely be achieved via rial. Meanwhile, CalYan will manage the downstream distribution and infrastructure within the US state. The 35,000-hectare production site, Aslan’s Net Zero Energy Mexico (ANEM) project, is expected to be operational by 2028, harnessing solar energy to power electrolysers. Furthermore, the facility will benefit from deepwater marine access, being based on Sonora’s coast, near Puerto Lobos. Last July, the subsidiary of [...]

H2-View News: Green Navy to use EODev’s newly certified fuel cell on hydrogen-powered catamaran
The system utilises a plug and play model that relies on Toyota’s advanced PEM fuel cell technology. The certification confirms that the REXH2 meets the “strictest safety and performance standards” in the maritime industry. Looking ahead, Green Navy will now use the module for its PROMETEO project – Europe’s “first” electro-hydrogen-powered, 24-metre catamaran designed for the commercial transport of up to 200 passengers. “The choice of REXH2 fuel cells is justified by the maturity of the equipment, its adaptation to the marine environment, and its operational safety,” explained Guy Saillard, Naval Architect and Green Navy Project Manager. © Green Navy [...]
