H2-View News: P2X Solutions CEO urges action as green hydrogen production begins in Finland
Beginning commercial operations has given P2X Solutions a “competitive advantage,” according to the company’s CEO, Herkko Pilt. “We recommend companies start deploying green hydrogen and electric fuels before the mandatory legislation enters into force, as the change will take time,” Pilt stressed. “My message to companies is: Don’t wait for the change, make it happen.” He added that Finland is in a great position to “develop into a superpower” in clean hydrogen and its derivative electric fuels, adding that he “hopes many projects will follow suit.” H2 View understands that P2X Solutions is planning additional hydrogen plants, including a 40MW [...]
H2-View News: PtX Investment Fund backs 100,000 tonne green ammonia project in Morocco
The two companies reviewed a total of 98 expressions of interests from seven countries before signing a grant agreement with INNOVX’s Hydrojeel for its Jorf Hydrogen Platform project. The initiative is being developed by Hydrojeel on behalf of Morocco’s OCP Group. It will be located in the Jorf Industrial Park facility at the port of Jorf-El Jadida and is expected to produce 100,000 tonnes of green ammonia per year by the end of 2026. The project will use wind and solar power from newly built plants to produce green hydrogen before converting it into ammonia for fertiliser production. In its [...]
H2-View News: 80,000 tonne SAF plant planned in Sweden by Norsk e-Fuel, Prime Capital, RES
Project Alby will produce green hydrogen which will be combined with captured CO2 to generate e-kerosene. Following further development and construction of the 14-hectare site, Norsk e-Fuel has stated that operations will commence in line with the European ReFuelEU Aviation regulation, which mandates that at least 10% of aviation fuel must come from sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) by 2030, with a target of up to 70% by 2050. The facility is located around 370km north of Stockholm in the municipality of Ånge, meaning it will reportedly benefit from low electricity prices due to extensive renewable energy available in the region. [...]
H2-View News: thyssenkrupp nucera hydrogen orders drop 95%, but eyes €550m in sales this year
Logging a total of €95m ($99m) in orders in the quarter (down from €176m ($183m) a year previous), just €5m ($5.2m) was attributed to its alkaline electrolysers, citing high market volatility and project delays. It also said a tranche of €100m ($104m), related to its 700MW order for the Stegra green steel project, had been included in the order intake in the prior-year quarter. The German firm’s chlor-alkali business buoyed orders with €89m ($92.7m) of intake – up 35% from the previous quarter. However, hydrogen electrolysers still account for 60% of its order backlog with €600m ($625m). “The challenges in [...]
H2-View News: Mexican transport companies trial Alpha H2’s hydrogen injection kits for fleet operations
The first trial is being conducted with one of Mexico’s leading mobility and transport providers, Traxión, which operates a fleet of 10,900 vehicles. The other is being undertaken with a bus owned by the nation’s largest interstate transport company, which H2 View understands is Trayecto. © Alpha H2 The trials evaluate Alpha H2’s technology and assess how it can integrate into both companies’ existing operations. They also mark a step forward in the United H2 Limited investee’s expansion into Latin America. The company has a growing sales pipeline in the region, which has been conducted with United H2 Limited’s local [...]
H2-View News: Hydrogen truck maker pivots to licensing to pull back from ‘brink of collapse’
Abdul Waheed, the company’s founder and now CEO, said the dramatic shift was a “direct consequence” of the previous leadership’s strategy of concentrating on capital-heavy hydrogen truck manufacturing. Launched in 2017, HVS distinguished itself from other hydrogen truck players by not relying on existing truck chassis, which it said allowed it to streamline the design of its hydrogen powertrain. Describing the approach as “financially untenable and unsustainable,” the company stated that it is urgently seeking £0.7m ($0.87m) to avoid “immediate legal action” after it accrued £7m ($8.7m) in supply chain debt and a £1.4m ($1.7m) creditor demand. That’s despite early [...]
H2-View News: ITM PEM electrolysers to power 20MW Norwegian green hydrogen plant
The four 5MW containerised Neptune V plants will produce green hydrogen for use in the maritime sector. Production is expected to start in late 2026. The site could also be expanded to 40MW of electrolysis capacity from 2027. Greenstat, a subsidiary of La Française de l’Energie (FDE), started construction on the plant in August after it took full ownership of the project from Everfuel. Read more: Construction starts on 20MW Norwegian green hydrogen plant Previously, Greenstat and Everfuel signed Letters of Intent (LoIs) with companies such as Holland-Norway Lines, FFS Marine, and Arrive Shipping to potentially offtake over 8,000 tonnes [...]
H2-View News: Top hydrogen groups warn EU scale-up ‘will not happen’ without policy reforms
In an open letter to Commissioners, the Hydrogen Council, Hydrogen Europe, the Renewable Hydrogen Coalition and the International Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells in the Economy (IPHE) said without their recommendations, clean hydrogen’s scale up “will not happen.” They stressed that “market activation measures” should set binding targets for the use of sustainable products, such as green steel or green ammonia, in state-funded projects. “Market activation should help bridge the cost gap to make sustainable products cost-competitive with polluting alternatives,” it reads. The bodies also call for streamlined funding instruments for “scale, simplicity and speed.” “Launching the most mature [...]
H2-View News: Sierra Space completes hydrogen-powered engine testing for US space missions
Research Laboratory (AFRL) was aimed at continuing to mature upper stage engines to fulfil future National Security Space Launch (NSSL) missions. NSSL missions are intended to assure the US Department of Defence (DOD) access to space. The US Air Force has been in the process of selecting its next generation NSSL vehicles since 2018. VR35K-A uses a fuel-rich staged combustion cycle, turbopump architecture and Sierra Space’s patented VORTEX combustion chamber technology to produce 35,000 lbf of thrust. The Californian test programme followed a similar campaign in 2024 at the company’s Badger Propulsion Test Facility in Wisconsin, where it says it [...]
