BRUSSELS, 17 June 2025 – The Hydrogen Council is proud to welcome fourteen new members who joined the organization in the first half of 2025, bringing cutting-edge expertise, regional diversity, and industrial strength to the global CEO-led initiative. The cohort includes companies from India, Japan, China, South Korea, Pakistan, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, and Switzerland, each playing a key role in scaling hydrogen technologies and solutions globally.  

The new members strengthen the Council’s breadth across the entire hydrogen value chain, from electrolyzers, fuel cells, and ammonia production to hydrogen storage, infrastructure, and system integration. Their addition underscores the Council’s mission to unite global industry leaders in accelerating the deployment of hydrogen that benefits our economies, societies, and the planet. 

These new members join a strong coalition of companies committed to driving hydrogen innovation, scale-up, and impact. They will contribute to the Council’s ongoing efforts to advocate for the right policy framework, investment capabilities, and industrial conditions to unlock hydrogen’s full economic and climate potential.

  • Avaada Group (India) – Represented by Vineet Mittal, Chairman. Proficient in clean ammonia, clean methanol, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel technologies. 

  • CASALE (Switzerland) – Represented by Federico Zardi, CEO. Specializes in licensing and engineering solutions for the production of clean ammonia, methanol and hydrogen, among other chemicals. 

  • Ceres Power (UK) – Represented by Phil Caldwell, CEO. A leading developer of clean energy technology; fuel cells for power generation and electrolyzers for the production of clean hydrogen. 

  • Doosan Group (South Korea) – Represented by Seungwoo Yoo, President and CBO. Active in hydrogen turbines, fuel cells, and electrolyzers through a broad industrial portfolio. 

  • Ebara Corporation (Japan) – Represented by Masao Asami, CEO. Active throughout the hydrogen value chain, especially on the world’s first liquid hydrogen pumps and compressors engineering. 

  • Electric Hydrogen (USA) – Represented by Raffi Garabedian, CEO and co-founder. An expert in electrolyzers manufacturing. 

  • Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited (Pakistan) – Represented by Fawad Ahmed, CEO. One of Pakistan’s largest business groups and a major ammonia producer. Actively investing in clean ammonia projects across multiple continents. 

  • Heraeus Precious Metals (Germany) – Represented by Steffen Metzger, CEO. Provides precious metals, catalysts and recycling services for the hydrogen sector, e.g. for fuel cells and electrolyzers. 

  • KBR, Inc. (USA) – Represented by Stuart Bradie, President and CEO. Has expertise in the entire hydrogen value chain, specializing in clean hydrogen, clean ammonia solutions, e-methanol, and fertilizers. 

  • Kolon Industries (South Korea) – Represented by Sung Huh, CEO. Develops advanced materials and certified hydrogen components, with a focus on clean hydrogen and biogas. 

  • Moeve (Spain) – Represented by Maarten Wetselaar, CEO. Developer of one of Europe’s largest renewable hydrogen projects, supporting supply at scale. 

  • Shanghai Electric Group (China) – Represented by Zhu Zhaokai, CEO. Provides end-to-end hydrogen solutions including production, storage, and power generation systems. 

  • SK Innovation E&S (South Korea) – Represented by Choo Hyeongwook, CEO and President. Operates a nationwide liquefied hydrogen supply chain and leads hydrogen mobility deployment. 

  • Vallourec (France) – Represented by Philippe Guillemot, Group Chairman and CEO. Provider of solutions for hydrogen storage.
