Atome’s CEO says food and beverage giants are ready to pay more for low-emissions fertiliser, as the firm prepares to take final investment decision (FID) on its first green hydrogen-based fertiliser project in Paraguay.

Olivier Mussat told H2 View that multinationals like PepsiCo and Nestlé are looking to shift from buying carbon credits to cutting actual emissions inside their supply chains. And fertilisers, a major contributor to food system emissions, are an early target.
