Musgrove’s role starts this month and he is based in the US, overseeing the commercial activity across TFP’s sites globally and accelerating the growth in the hydrogen economy sector as part of the company’s vision for a greener future.

He brings commercial experience in the materials sector in markets including electronics, construction, transport and industrial, with previous roles as Sales Director and Global Key Manager at 3M.

Musgrove said, “It’s an exciting time to be joining the TFP Group, where there’s a clear appetite for sustainable growth.”

 

TFP’s aim for the next five years is for most of its sales to come from applications that support the global drive to Net Zero carbon emissions to enable the energy transition.

The company produce coated components for PEM water electrolysis, which reduces the cost of producing green hydrogen.

In May 2021, TFP Hydrogen launched a cost-effective catalyst system, ready to support the growth of a competitive hydrogen industry.

The catalyst was expected to support hydrogen generation to counter the rising price of iridium with the catalyst based on Platinum Group Metals.

TFP is part of the James Cropper advanced materials group, its electrochemical materials providing solutions across a range of markets such as aerospace, defence, automotive and construction.

It also provides solutions in the renewable energy sector, where there is a strong focus on green technology including fuel cells, green hydrogen generation, wind energy and electric vehicles.
