Storegga seeks new owners for 70MW Scottish hydrogen project after planning refusal

Storegga is seeking to offload its 70MW green hydrogen project in Scotland to “new owners” after it failed to secure planning permission, the company has told H2 View.

The deadline for the carbon capture and hydrogen project developer to appeal Moray Council’s planning rejection for its Speyside project passed on Thursday (22 January).

The council unanimously rejected the project in October, citing concerns over water use from the River Spey, visual impact and increased traffic. The development could have scaled to 200MW.
