Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), HRS and CuboGas are set to jointly develop and implement new initiatives for hydrogen mobility infrastructure, with CuboGas expected to become non-executive supplier of hydrogen compressors to HRS.

The supply of compressors is expected to come as a crucial part of establishing HRS’ refuelling stations offering over one tonne of hydrogen per day to both passenger and heavy-duty vehicles.

The prospective three-year framework hopes to encourage the rollout of HRS’ refuelling stations in Italy under projects coordinated by Snam4 Mobility.

In 2021, Snam4Mobility and WolfTank Hydrogen kicked off a new collaboration aimed at boosting hydrogen mobility through the construction of refuelling stations for cars, buses, and trucks in Italy.

September (2022) saw HRS and Simplifhy team up to pursue hydrogen refuelling station opportunities in Italy.

It is hoped the new partnership will aid the EU’s decarbonisation targets for transport. In October (2022), the European Parliament voted to retain the ambition in the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR) to see hydrogen refuelling stations established no further than 100km apart along key European road networks.
