The award is for the ‘European heavy-duty fuel cell trucking new product innovation’ category, which recognised Quantron’s integrated and holistic hydrogen concept.

The company’s own ecosystem, ‘Quantron-as-a-Service’ (QaaS), offers a 360-degree OEM-open ecosystem for its customers, which includes hydrogen vehicles, and infrastructure for hydrogen production and refuelling.

Quantron also focus on fuel cell-powered vehicles, including the QHM FCEV heavy-truck, the QHM FCEV 44-2000 and 4.2 tonne and 7.2 tonne FCEV trucks.

Earlier this year (2022), Quantron unveiled its QHM FCEV heavy duty truck at IAA Transportation following Ballard Power Systems buying a minority investment stake.

The QHM FCEV features an FCmove™-XD kw fuel cell developed by Ballard, an integrated eGen Power® 130D E-axle from Allison Transmission and a 54kg hydrogen tank fully integrated into the chassis.

It says the vehicle can cover up to 700km on one filling, whilst the QHM FCEV 44-2000 boasts a tank volume of up to 116kg, meaning that it can range up to 1500km with a single hydrogen filling.
