The H2 Trucks initiative aims to get 100 hydrogen trucks to the Oslo region with the required infrastructure with Quantron aiming to support this by providing its trucks for the roads.
Hydrogen trucking solutions could be a crucial aspect of the Norwegian hydrogen economy with the transportation sector identified as a key area to decarbonise.
Hydrogen provides one of the bets solutions in achieving this and, with Norway currently building out infrastructure for other mobility solutions, it could become a perfect complement for a circular economy.
Anil Reddi, Project Leader for Quantron, said, “Together with the H2 Truck project, we intend to bring several FCEV platforms to the Norwegian market.
“The project has gathered the entire value chain in an ecosystem making it attractive to deploy our trucks. We aim to offer the customers a full service based on green hydrogen and see this as a great opportunity.”
Michael Perschke, CEO and Member of the Board of Quantron, said, “We are very happy that Quantron AG can join the H2 Offensive in Norway together with our fuel cell partner Ballard Power Systems and H2 Truck.
“We are very thankful to be introduced to this important initiative. Quantron AG is committed to become a leader in the European H2 Economy and Norway is a very critical milestone on this roadmap.”
