The wind farms will be created in the Netherlands and will support the scaling of the industry and energy independence in light of the Russian-Ukraine conflict.

With large-scale hydrogen generated as a result of the collaboration, Europe will be able to decarbonise various sectors in its society across mobility, industry and manufacturing.
The joint venture additionally supports Mitsubishi raise its profile in the EU and support hydrogen innovation in the region.
This could then be used to integrate similar projects in Asia and support the global adoption of hydrogen.
