Integrating a water electrolyser, a compressor, pressure accumulator, and a dispenser with an installation area of just 2.6m x 1.3m, the small footprint allows for the SimpleFuel system to be installed in small spaces in existing factories and warehouses.

Additionally, PDC say the small footprint solution offers a lower initial investment cost that other hydrogen refuelling stations, due to its ‘all-in-one’ design and ability to support local fleets.

In 2021, Toyota Industries Corporation started full-scale operation of a SimplFuel system at its Takahama Plant in Japan.

At the time if the launch of the SimpleFuel product in 2019, Kareem Afzak, Partner and Vice-President of PDC Machines, said, “The SimpleFuel™ product is aimed at addressing specific needs of the hydrogen infrastructure in the automotive and industrial mobility applications.

“This technology can be used in homes, community centres, small businesses, or similar locations for refuelling hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles and material handling vehicles.”
