In pursuit of its ambitions have over 3GW of hydrogen production in operation by 2030, Lhyfe has opened its UK operations in Newcastle, to deploy production facilities to support the country’s Net Zero goals.

H2 View understands, the company is currently deploying onshore production units, however, aims to take its electrolysis offshore to leverage on the UK’s offshore wind potential, particularly in the North Sea.

The announcement follows on from Lhyfe revealed success from a recent initial public offering (IPO) in May (2022), which saw the company raise €110m ($108.9m).

Under plans released by the Johnson administration, the UK set the target of establish 10GW of low-carbon hydrogen production capacity by 2030.
