Under the partnership, VENTREX will supply electronic pressure regulators to KEYOU to ensure hydrogen fuel is always supplied precisely in its engines, both with port-fuel injection and direct injection.
Munich, Germany-based KEYOU uses these components in its ‘KEYOU-inside’ technology applications and has said it will rely on VENTREX’s technical product know-how to optimise its system.
‘KEYOU-inside’ technology, established hydrogen-specific components and combustion processes that can convert conventional engines into green hydrogen engines without compromising the performance, capacity or range of the vehicle.
H2 View understands, prototypes using the new KEYOU engine generation with the VENTREX pressure regulators to be available as early as next year (2023).
Tom Gustavsson, Managing Director of VENTREX, said, “KEYOU’s technology makes it possible to shift from engines running on conventional fuels to an emissions-free hydrogen engine.”
In April this year (2022), KEYOU revealed its brand-new truck and city bus, both powered by its hydrogen engines.
