ITM Power lands engineering contracts for Australian, Canadian hydrogen projects

The UK electrolyser maker said the two projects had a combined capacity of 70MW.

In Australia, ITM was handed a basic design engineering package contract by an “industrial customer”, while in Canada, it secured a front-end engineering design deal for a mobility-focused project.

While details on the projects remain slim, it marks some of the first larger-scale projects outside of Europe and Asia in which the firm is involved.

Last year, ITM secured compliance for its core stack technology in Australia.

Throughout the past two years, the OEM has been racking up increased orders from European projects, along with some prospective deals in the Asia-Pacific region.

“We are excited to be working with our customers on these projects and advance the deployment of our Neptune 5 product into the Australian and Canadian markets,” said ITM CEO Dennis Schulz.
