H2 View understands the solar-powered plant will house a full-time team dedicated to developing and testing solutions for global hydrogen generator projects.

In addition to its hydrogen activities at the Sardinia site, IMI says the plant will also manufacture valves and hydraulic actuating systems for critical applications in petrochemical industries.

Jackie Hu, Managing Director of IMI Critical Engineering, said, “The opening of this new factory marks a significant step in our journey to transform the business of IMI Critical Engineering as we move into more sustainable markets.

“We have long been a specialist in the design and manufacture of bespoke valves and actuators for critical applications, and we are using this expertise to help our customers to navigate their own energy transition journey.”

Hu added, “We know hydrogen is going to be one of the key solutions for a better and greener world as it further integrates into our travel, heating and energy storage infrastructure.”
