Signed with Rocquaine Management Limited (RML), the agreement will see RML introduce HUI to relevant Estonian parties, and have the companies work together to explore the potential development of waste plastic-to-hydrogen plants in Estonia and elsewhere.

H2 View understands, RML has already has preliminary discussions with the Port of Tallinn, Estonia, owners’ project manager, and believes there is an opportunity to develop a HUI-based technology plant at a new technology park being developed near the port to supply local consumers with LNG.

The agreement provides that HUI will reimburse travel and expenses of RML in relation to the Tallinn project, and upon the achievement of other specified milestones in relation to the same project, HUI will make additional payments to RML, along with the potential for equity participation in any waste plastic-to-hydrogen plant constructed.

HUI’s senior team has said that as one of the three Baltic state, with memberships to the EU, NATO, and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Estonia would be a “very attractive” location to site one of its plants.

“Estonia is renowned for being a leader in digital transformation and for implementing brave, innovative ideas,” said Aleksandra Binkowska, founder and Chief Executive of HUI. “HUI’s goal is to expand widely in the EEA. Estonia is another big step in this direction as we believe it could be an important gateway to Nordic countries.”

Andrew Derry, Director of RML, commented, “Rocquaine is delighted to have this opportunity to add value for HUI by using Rocquaine’s contacts and experience in the region. We look forward to helping HUI explore and further the undoubted opportunities for its business to expand into Northern Europe, commencing in Estonia.”

This is the latest agreement for HUI, following its listing to the London Stock Exchange. Just last week (February 21), HUI announced a strategic partnership with Ethical Fashion Group (EFG) to tackle fashion pollution and to meet rising hydrogen demand.
