The deliveries of these vehicles are slated to be completed by March 2023 and will support decarbonisation of public transportation in the region.

Originally introduced in 2019, the Solaris Urbino 12 hydrogen bus is capable of travelling 350 kilometres on a single hydrogen refuelling.

The bus incorporates an axle with two electric motors and is equipped with a climate control system utilising heat generated by the fuel cell module.

Petros Spinaris, Member of the Management Board of Solaris for Sales, Marketing and After Sales, said, “Our long-standing relations with private carriers Busreisen Ettenhuber GmbH and Martin Geldhauser GmbH & Co. are an excellent example of long-term, continuously developing collaboration.

“Now, we are progressing to the next level of this partnership, one related to the transition to hydrogen technology, i.e. the most modern technology available. I am very glad that 10 of our Urbino 12 hydrogen buses will bolster public transport in these Bavarian regions.”
