Hydrogen and CCUS to play ‘residual part’ in emissions reductions: Rystad

Hydrogen, carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCUS), and bioenergy are set to play only a residual part in cleaning up global emissions, according to research firm Rystad Energy.

In a global energy scenario report, it found decarbonising and growing the power sector with nuclear and renewables will account for 52% of reductions and electrification of “almost everything” will provide another 43%.
