With a minimum value of €9.7m ($9.4m), the agreement is set to see Hexagon Purus’ hydrogen distribution systems, including type 4 hydrogen cylinders, used for hydrogen transportation and industrial applications in Europe.

H2 View understands, the systems are set to be delivered to the undisclosed producer from the fourth quarter of 2022 to the fourth quarter of 2023.

It is hoped the deliveries will help facilitate the decarbonisation of industrial and mobility sectors on the continent by making hydrogen available.

Michael Kleschinski, Executive Vice-President of Hexagon Purus, said, “We are currently experiencing strong commercial momentum within our hydrogen distribution business following the recent push from European authorities to reduce emissions and increase energy security.

“We are very happy to play an important part in supporting European authorities’ ambitious growth plan for hydrogen adoption.”
