H2Apex, East Energy eye small-scale green hydrogen JV as German mandates kick in

H2Apex and East Energy Group are forming a joint venture (JV) to develop four 5MW green hydrogen projects across Germany, following the government’s backing of usage mandates in mobility.

Their Hanseatic H2 JV will develop standardised electrolyser plants to produce renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBO)-compliant green hydrogen.

Initially, four projects are planned in Northern and Eastern Germany, responding to what the developers describe as a “significant increase” in green hydrogen demand.
