The Danish firm today (January 27) announced the order, consisting of two A-Series pressurised alkaline electrolyser units, with a combined capacity of 0.9MW, from Spanish industrial group Ercros.

H2 View understands, green hydrogen produced by the new system will allow for an increase in ammonia production at an existing production plant.

Delivery of the containerised system is expected in 2024, and Green Hydrogen Systems has said it will support the customer towards project commissioning, provide on-site maintenance, and remote monitoring as part of multi-year service agreement.

“We are pleased to sign this new order for our pressurised alkaline electrolyser,” said Søren Rydbirk, Chief Commercial Officer at Green Hydrogen Systems. “This order is proof of our product’s price competitiveness in a range of industry applications.”

The company has said it will continue to deliver on its remaining order backlog throughout 2023, after it delayed orders last year due to design implications around its hydrogen-based HyProvide A-Series platform.

Rydbirk added, “The multiple service agreement allows us to build a strong customer partnership and gain insights on integrating electrolysers in commercial industrial processes and chemical production.”
