H2 View understands the station is expected to offer up to 2,000kg of hydrogen per day, and is intended to serve as a blueprint for other locations across Germany and wider Europe, with hopes of allowing economic viability for hydrogen refuelling services.
According to Dr. Stefan Rehm, Project Manager at Hypion, the H2-HubNMS will see hydrogen production take place on site. Rehm, said, “The funding commitment underlined that the concept presented a convincing solution, including the production of green hydrogen, distribution at an efficient filling station infrastructure, which can serve 40-tonne semitrailer trucks.”
Hypion is set to work closely with Logistik Initiative Schleswig-Holstein, as well as other retail, construction, and logistics companies including, EDEKA Handelsgesellschaft Nord, EDEKA AG, Ernst Krebs, FA Kruse Jun., Herbert Voigt, and Netto Marken-Discount.
Additionally, the operator has partnered with diesel-to-hydrogen vehicle conversion company, Clean Logistics SE.
