The companies today (March 8) revealed that under a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) GenH2 will incorporate Chart’s equipment into its liquefaction systems, including storage, heat exchangers, and other key components.

Additionally, H2 View understands the agreement will see the partners collaborate on global sales, marketing opportunities, equipment manufacturing and supply, as well as the deployment of GenH2’s 1,000kg/day hydrogen liquefier.

The Florida, US-based firm’s liquefaction system offers pure para hydrogen from a small footprint and is intended to be deployed at the point of demand, which is hoped to allow for the deployment of scalable, modular distributed infrastructure, breaking geographic constraints.

“In a market where supply chain concerns are rampant, this strategic partnership allows us to meet our growing order list,” said Greg Gosnell, President and CEO of GenH2. “Our new partnership with Chart will allow GenH2 to accelerate its market expansion plans into new territories.”

In January this year (2023), GenH2 launched its 20kg LS20 mobile liquid hydrogen system, offering end-to-end liquefaction and storage.

Jill Evanko, CEO of Chart Industries, commented, “Partnering with GenH2 on technology and equipment is a positive for the industry in furthering hydrogen liquefaction options of all scales and for a variety of applications. We are excited to collaborate with GenH2 to bring these innovative solutions to market in a safe and efficient manner.”
