
European Energy produced 2,512 tonnes of e-methanol and 35 tonnes of green hydrogen in the first nine months of 2025, as it accelerates battery storage deployment to counter curtailment and improve power price capture.
The green hydrogen was produced at its production plant in Måde, Denmark, while the company delivered e-methanol from its recently opened Kassø facility, which is now ramping up towards its full 42,000-tonne annual capacity.
At World Hydrogen Week, European Energy unveiled its new electric steam methane reforming (e-SMR) technology, designed to cut the cost of producing green hydrogen and e-methanol and widen access to low-carbon fuel markets such as refineries.
