Electrolyser stack oversupply masks balance-of-plant constraints: World Bank Group

Despite an oversupply of electrolyser stack manufacturing capacity, supply chain bottlenecks remain in balance components such as power conversion and gas treatment, according to a new World Bank Group report.

The report by the World Bank’s Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMPA) estimates global annual electrolyser manufacturing capacity at 61GW, with a further 16GW under construction.
