Electric Hydrogen names General Manager for Europe, MENA expansion

Bruno Forget will head the company’s expansion across Europe and MENA, which the company has highlighted as holding near to mid-term sales opportunities of its large-scale PEM electrolyser plants.

The company’s HYPRPlant is available in 75MW, 100MW, and 120MW configurations that encompass stacks and all balance of plant equipment, which it claims can reduce project capex by up to 60%.

Having held leadership positions at Air Liquide, Cummins, and Plug Power, Forget will focus on plant and service delivery in the regions, while supporting global expansion.

Electric Hydrogen Senior Vice President of Global Commercial, Jason Mortimer, said Forget will help the firm meet “strong European demand” for its standardised green hydrogen plants.

Forget said he was “thrilled” to lead the European effort.

Despite its first commercial project pitched for Texas, CEO Raffi Garabedian previously told H2 View Europe was “the market” for green hydrogen in the near-term, thanks to uptake mandates and increasing focus on energy security.

Last November, it secured a contract to design a 200MW electrolyser plant for Uniper’s Wilhelmshaven green hydrogen project at the site of its former coal-fired power plant.

Garabedian said there was a possibility Electric Hydrogen would look to set up manufacturing capacity in Europe.
