DNV has said it will be represented at the Council by its Senior Hydrogen Consultant, Dr. Thomas Koller, and Scott Trevean as a senior member of the Hydrogen Team.

H2 View understands Koller will be participating in the AHC’s Policy Advisory Committee, while Trevean will participate in the Technical and Infrastructure committees.

Additionally, DNV has said it will provide expertise for hydrogen certification, energy market reform, technical and regulatory hydrogen safety matters, including infrastructure to support the production, transport and dispensing, usage and export of hydrogen.

The AHC represents the emerging hydrogen industry in Australia, with members including companies operating across the entire hydrogen value chain, it connects technology and service providers, investors, and government agencies to increase collaboration among its stakeholders and accelerate the commercialisation of hydrogen.

In 2019, Hydrogen Mobility Australia relaunched as the AHC to reflect the diversity of its growing membership.

Commenting on its membership, Graham Slack, Market Area Manager – Australia, Energy Systems at DNV, said, “To achieve Australia’s ambition of becoming an export hub in renewable and low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia, hydrogen companies need to operate with the confidence that their infrastructure is safe and effective.

“They also need to demonstrate this to investors and off-takers which DNV is working with all over the world, including many in the APAC region. Hydrogen is a key pillar of the energy transition and the AHC provides the platform to help develop partnerships to realize these goals.”
