Ceres is launching a new strategy to focus on natural gas-fuelled solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) for stationary power markets, with green hydrogen production viewed as a long-term play.
Unveiled during the UK technology licensor’s H1 interim results, the plan aims to reduce operating expenses, with the firm’s product line consolidated around a new generation stack to serve both fuel cells and electrolysis.
It also comes off the back of its first licensee launching mass SOFC manufacturing capacity, and the growing need for clean power solutions.
