The agreement announced on Tuesday (June 7) hopes to identify both operational and infrastructure opportunities and challenges of hydrogen aircraft in a commercial flight setting.

Both companies will examine a whole range of issues that could arise with the new technology, such as refuelling, aircraft range, and other performance characteristics.

Just last month (May 2022), Airbus said it is launching it UK Zero Emission Development Centre (ZEDC) for hydrogen technologies, as it strives towards the creation of a hydrogen-powered aircraft.

H2 View understands, the aircraft manufacturer hopes it will gain deeper insight of airline needs and performance to take back to its ZEROe aircraft designs.
