H2-View News: Siemens partners with Atmen to streamline compliance for green hydrogen projects

The technology major will seek to integrate its digital tools with Atmen’s regulatory automation platform to ease compliance challenges. Atmen’s platform integrates live platform modelling, document generation, and emissions tracking to help producers comply with local standards. Siemens provides digital twin tools to help companies design and build projects, as well as operate supply chains. “Siemens’ tools assist companies in building and operating smart supply chains and testing scenarios,” said Atmen CEO Flore de Durfort. “Paired with Atmen’s certification platform, engineers and procurement teams get the info needed to stay compliant, resilient, and ensure products meet standards” Under a non-exclusive [...]

H2-View News: IFC backs Atome with $100m financing ahead of Villeta FID

The support will come through a mix of concessional debts and project-level equity for the 145MW project in Villeta, Paraguay, which is set to produce 260,000 tonnes of green calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN). ICF’s approval signals that the project is now bankable and ready for investment, making it easier for other financiers such as the European Investment Bank (EIB), IDB Invest, FMO, and the Green Climate Fund to finalise their contributions. Together, the financiers are expected to make up the $630m total funding package required to build Atome’s plant. “The IFC Board’s approval of up to $100m of debt and equity [...]

H2-View News: Hyundai breaks ground on new hydrogen fuel cell and electrolyser plant in South Korea

The automotive giant said the new facility will produce 30,000 fuel cell units per year from 2027, along with PEM electrolysers, as it looks to diversify its hydrogen technology foothold. It is being built on a 43,000 square metre area of Hyundai’s former internal combustion engine transmission plant, representing a KRW 930bn ($651m) investment. The plant will host both chemical processing and assembly operations, and will operate under Hyundai’s hydrogen HTWO brand name. Hyundai Vice-Chair Jaehoon Chang said the facility would support national economic growth and establish South Korea’s leadership in hydrogen. While Hyundai has long held a position in [...]

H2-View News: Nel says ‘worst is past’ as order intake drops 64% in Q3

Electrolyser OEM Nel says the “worst is past” after a challenging year for the longstanding Norwegian firm, even as quarterly order intake and backlog fell 64% and 47%, respectively. In its Q3 earnings report, Nel posted an order intake of NOK 57m ($5.3m) in Q3 2025, down 64% year-on-year and 21% lower than Q2, leaving the order backlog at NOK 984m ($98.7m), less than half seen in Q3 2024 (NOK 1.87bn). The figures represent a slight rebound from Q2 2025, when revenues fell 48% as delayed final investment decisions (FIDs) and execution setbacks hit project activity. This is a paid [...]

H2-View News: LA pushes ahead with $800m plans to convert power plant to run on hydrogen blends

The DWP board signed off on the project’s final environmental impact report for the modernisation of two units at the 830MW Scattergood Generating Station in Playa Del Rey. Built in the 1950s, both units are required to be shut down before 2029 and will be replaced with new combined-cycle gas turbines that are slated to run on at least 30% hydrogen blend with natural gas from start-up. H2 View understands the power plant would be operated primarily as a peaking asset when renewable generation is lower than demand or in emergencies. The approval comes after the US Department of Energy [...]

H2-View News: EU backs Baltic Sea hydrogen pipeline with €15.3m funding

European funding is expected to support the pre-project planning and studies (Pre-FEED) of the Baltic Sea Hydrogen Collector (BHC), which is being constructed by Gasgrid Finland, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and Gascade Germany. These studies will assess the potential of BHC as a hydrogen transport corridor connecting the Baltics with central Europe. © Gascade Set to have two sections, the project will establish a main trunkline between Finland and Germany, along with a section connecting Finland to Sweden, which includes branch lines to Åland and Gotland. The German part of the BHC network has been included in the Wasserstoff-Kernnetz – [...]

H2-View News: Elogen secures third PEM electrolyser order

As part of a green hydrogen project led by Veolia Energia Slovensko in Žiar nad Hronom, the project plans to inject green hydrogen into an existing combined heat and power (CHP) plant to replace natural gas. Any surplus hydrogen will be made available for transport via a hydrogen refuelling station. H2 View understands that there is only one hydrogen refuelling station in Slovakia, located 174km away in Bratislava. The GTT Group company Elogen is scheduled to install the electrolyser system in 2026. It represents the OEM’s third electrolyser order, after agreeing to supply electrolyser technology to Rockfin in Poland. Peter [...]

H2-View News: Pulsenics launches AI monitoring for Endua electrolysers in Australia

Pulsenic’s AI-driven electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) hardware was used to monitor the health and performance of the electrolyser stacks. The partners said it represents the “first” real-world commercial use of AI diagnostic technology for green hydrogen production. “This breakthrough helps hydrogen producers lower costs, extend asset lifetimes and build confidence in hydrogen as a reliable energy source,” the Toronto-based technology firm said in a statement. The statement added that because OEMs like Endua often guarantee uptime, lifetime, and production output, access to advanced AI-driven performance data helps reduce risk, validate performance, and strengthen customer confidence. “Industrial hydrogen users want to [...]
