H2-View News: Thyssenkrupp Nucera Q3 green hydrogen orders dip to €13m
Thyssenkrupp Nucera has reported another sharp slowdown in orders, with Q3 intake down 77% year-on-year to €63m ($73.7m), including a 94% drop in green hydrogen orders to €13m ($15.2m). The decline comes as the German electrolyser maker works through its existing backlog, while large-scale final investment decisions remain scarce. H2-View News: Equatic raises $11.6m to scale seawater electrolysis and carbon removal
The funding round was co-led by Catalytic Capital for Climate and Health (C3H), a catalytic investment vehicle by Temasek Trust, and Singapore-based Kibo Invest, which is focused on supporting climate technology. Alongside additional participation from a consortium of global investors, the capital is expected to support the engineering of Equatic’s first 100-kilotonne carbon dioxide removal (CDR) commercial facility in Canada. H2 View understands that the facility will capture 100,000 tonnes of atmospheric CO2 per year, while simultaneously producing green hydrogen through seawater electrolysis. The Canada site will be Equatic’s first commercial-scale plant, complemented by the scale-up of its Singapore demonstration facility. [...]
H2-View News: MorGen selects 20MW ITM electrolyser for HAR1-backed South Wales hydrogen project
The UK electrolyser firm inked a supply agreement and a binding long-term services head of terms with the Swiss-headquartered project developer for a 20MW standardised skid-mounted Poseidon electrolyser unit. It will be installed at MorGen’s West Wales Hydrogen Project, on the former Milford Haven refinery site, to supply green hydrogen to nearby industrial clusters, as well as some mobility projects. The project is among the 10 developments to have signed funding agreements with the UK government for revenue support under its first Hydrogen Allocation Round (HAR1). Through HAR1, the project will receive a strike price of around £241/MWh (over £9/kg [...]
H2-View News: Onix Renewable wins fifth SECI green ammonia tender at ₹52.50/kg
Onix Renewable, the fifth winner, will supply 50,000 tonnes of hydrogen-based ammonia per year for 10 years to the Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilisers & Chemicals plant in Bharuch for ₹52.50/kg (about $597 per tonne). The bid was part of India’s first green ammonia tender under the Sight scheme, Mode-2A, Tranche-I, where SECI is securing supply for 13 fertiliser plants across the country to help the energy transition. The solar power developer’s bid sits near the middle of the price band. Last week, infrastructure firm SCC won a bid to supply Madhya Bharat Agro Products Limited’s site in Dhule with 70,000 tonnes of [...]
H2-View News: ABB integrates 3MW fuel cell system on ‘world’s first’ hydrogen superyacht
Additionally, ABB supplied the superyacht’s main propulsion system, power and energy management system, and marine pilot control, among other key technologies, enabling reliable performance in real-world operations. “This order represents a breakthrough in the integration of marine fuel cells with propulsion systems,” ABB’s Riccardo Repetto said, “[and] Feadship’s breakthrough showcases the potential of hydrogen fuel cells as a feasible alternative to conventional energy sources in shipping.” The 118-metre yacht was launched in May 2024 under the name Project821. The vessel was delivered to its owner in May 2025 and is scheduled to feature at the Monaco Yacht Show in September [...]
H2-View News: Thermax secures exclusive rights to make HydrogenPro electrolysers in India
Under the new agreement, the Norwegian electrolyser maker will license its alkaline technology to Thermax, supply its current and future stacks, and provide technical support. Thermax will have exclusive rights in India to supply, install, commission, and service HydrogenPro-based technology, with plans to get started right away. As part of the technology transfer, Thermax will build and design system components in India, which will be integrated with the HydrogenPro stack. The duo will also look to develop joint systems for future demand. The partnership’s first step will be establishing a state-of-the-art short-stack test station at Thermax’s Pune facility. The agreement [...]
H2-View News: Hyundai launches 960km-range hydrogen fuel cell bus
The new Universe hydrogen-electric bus includes an integrated dual motor and transmission system and provides a maximum power output of 350kW. The fuel cell system delivers up to 180 kW, and when paired with a 48.2 kWh lithium-ion battery, extends the vehicle’s range beyond the previous model’s 450–500 km per charge. The bus is equipped with an automatic system that cuts off the hydrogen supply and high-voltage battery in the event of a collision, along with a fire delay system that slows the spread of flames from the battery enclosure by at least five minutes. The 2026 Universe hydrogen-electric bus [...]
H2-View News: Pure Hydrogen lands AUD $3m order for hydrogen-powered heavy vehicles
The company confirmed it has entered into a sales agreement with New South Wales-based transport company, Scott Lovatt Transport, for the delivery of two TS70-400 Taurus prime mover trucks for over AUD $2m ($1.3m). However, the sale isn’t final yet, and the deal will only go ahead if government funding can be secured for the project. The parties are “confident” they can obtain access to the relevant funding once the application has been submitted. Additionally, Pure Hydrogen secured a follow-up purchase order from Heidelberg Materials Australia for the supply of a second hydrogen fuel cell 8×4 agitator rigid truck. Featuring [...]
H2-View News: SunHydrogen demonstrates off-grid, commercial-scale solar hydrogen system
Operating for the first time under real-world conditions, the company’s module combines light-harvesting and electrolysis functions into a single unit, rather than using separate photovoltaic panels and an electrolyser. The demonstration took place in an open prototype housing facility, likely near SunHydrogen’s base in Coralville, Iowa, though the company did not confirm the exact location. The demonstration proved that sunlight and water can progress beyond the laboratory to become a “commercially viable clean energy solution,” according to Syed Mubeen, Ph.D, Chief Technology Officer at SunHydrogen. “This successful demonstration of the commercial-size reactor underscores the progress we’ve made in bringing our [...]
H2-View News: Cost cuts lift Plug Power’s margins as Q2 electrolyser revenues treble
Plug Power trebled its electrolyser revenues in Q2 while improving its gross margin by almost 60 points thanks to major cost reductions. The US hydrogen firm logged $174m in total revenues, up 21% year-on-year, with its electrolyser business contributing around $45m.
