H2-View News: Singapore duo explores floating hydrogen power solutions for AI data centres
Bridge Data Centres (BDC) and local renewable firm Concord New Energy (CNE) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) aimed at research, engineering, and deployment of clean energy solutions for AI data centres, including the floating power generator. Few technical details have been shared. However, the pair claim the floating hydrogen-powered generator would be designed to “deliver flexible and modular clean power capacity.” They say they will explore “advanced power system architectures and generation configurations designed to enhance the resilience and reliability of AI-ready data centre campuses.” BDC says that barge-based power generation solutions can offer structural advantages suited to Singapore’s operating environment, [...]
H2-View News: Former Air Products executive takes over as Acwa CEO
Dr Samir Serhan assumed responsibility of the power and water desalination firm from Marco Arcelli, who had been in post for around three years. Serhan previously served as Acwa’s executive vice president for six months after an eight-year stint as COO at industrial gas major Air Products. He left Air Products in September 2024 amid early calls from investors for an overhaul at the company, which was deemed to be expanding too far into green hydrogen projects. Acwa, alongside Air Products, is a one-third owner of the 2.2GW Neom green hydrogen project in Saudi Arabia. In a statement, Acwa stressed [...]
H2-View News: Moeve takes FID on first 300MW phase of Spanish green hydrogen hub
It will mark the first phase of the company’s €3bn ($3.5bn) Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley, which plans to install 2GW of electrolyser capacity across two sites. The initial 300MW in Huelva, named Onuba, will see UAE-state-owned renewables firm Masdar and the Enalter subsidiary of Spanish grid operator Enagás take minority stakes. Moeve, formerly known as Cepsa, said this phase would require over €1bn ($1.17bn) of investment, including “associated infrastructure” and a solar plant. The company will reserve the option to expand the site by another 100MW, subject to grid availability and board approval. CEO Maarten Wetselaar said the FID laid [...]
H2-View News: 3MW Lithuanian green hydrogen project enters construction
The €10m ($11.7m) plant is planned to start operating by the end of the year, with its hydrogen to be used for the city’s first hydrogen-powered buses. According to Gijos, a Vilnius municipality-owned utility company, it will produce up to 1.4 million cubic metres of hydrogen annually, and up to 3.24 million when it reaches maximum operation – around 125 and 290 tonnes per year respectively. The project, which also includes a public hydrogen refuelling station, is being jointly undertaken by Gijos and EPC firm, MT Group. It will be located next to a heat and power plant, capitalising on [...]
H2-View News: Estonian Stargate targets UK green hydrogen projects with new local partner
The firm signed an agreement with the UK-based energy and engineering group aimed at gaining market share of the country’s green hydrogen projects. The pair cited locally growing demand for low-carbon energy solutions as a driver for teaming up. Stargate has recently been boosting production capacity for its alkaline electrolysers. In June 2025, it opened a factory for manufacturing 140MW worth of systems per year, and in October, it commercially rolled out units in Finland. The firm currently delivers full 1MW and 10MW systems, as well as 500kW and 5MW stacks. Seacht, based in the south of England, operates engineering [...]
H2-View News: Three reasons Gulf conflict matters for clean hydrogen
The latest escalation in the Gulf is being felt in the oil markets and shipping lanes. But its consequences may extend beyond crude prices. For the still fragile and capital-intensive clean hydrogen sector, disruption in the Strait of Hormuz raises fundamental questions about cost competitiveness, supply chain security, and the long-term direction of energy policy. With some analysts and governments warning that the conflict is far from over, here are three areas to watch. H2-View News: ACES Delta 220MW green hydrogen project nears completion in Utah
A 220MW green hydrogen production and storage project in Utah, US, is heading to completion, with all 40 of the plant’s electrolysers installed and operational. Norway’s HydrogenPro, the pressurised alkaline electrolyser firm supplying the project, said the ACES Delta project was “now coming to finalisation and start-up.” This is a paid article, to read the article in full you can sign in if you are subscribed or subscribe today.
H2-View News: Nel confident pressurised platform can rival cheap Chinese electrolysers
Nel believes its upcoming pressurised alkaline electrolyser technology will be able to compete on price for global projects against low-cost, Chinese-made systems. That was the message from CEO Häkon Volldal during the firm’s recent earnings call, where it reported major drops in revenues and growing losses. H2-View News: EU signs off €1.1bn cleantech state aid funding to France
The scheme incentivises investments in additional capacity production of net zero technologies and covers costs related to their main specific components and related critical raw materials, including hydrogen technologies. These include electrolysers, fuel cells, hydrogen transmission equipment, storage facilities, and ammonia crackers. However, no specific details on how the funding will be spent have yet been released. The European Commission’s Executive Vice-President for Competition, Teresa Ribera, said the funding will “ensure” additional clean technology manufacturing capacity in France. “The tax credits granted under this scheme will help companies making key investments in the coming years,” she said. French funding is [...]
H2-View News: Hyundai to build a 200MW PEM system as part of $6.2bn South Korean hub
The hub, a step in hydrogen expansion across the country, will feature the firm’s own PEM electrolyser system powered by on-site renewable resources. Hyundai has reserved KRW 1 trillion ($693m) for the electrolyser plant alone, scheduled for completion by 2029, and KRW 1.3 trillion ($901m) for supporting solar power infrastructure. The auto major has not revealed where it intends to supply hydrogen produced by the facility. Having broken ground in October 2025 on a facility in Ulsan, South Korea, slated to produce 30,000 fuel-cell units alongside PEM electrolysers by 2027, the firm says it is targeting a 1GW domestic capacity [...]
