Energie AG is advancing the development and has commissioned Netz Oberösterreich to repurpose the pipeline between Linz and Sattledt. The Energie AG-owned company operates a network spanning 6,000km and expects to submit the first blending section for approval shortly. When commissioned, the VIVO electrolyser is forecasted to produce 500kg of green hydrogen on-site per day while using an electrical input of 3MW drawn from renewables. Based in Dresden, the German firm has been backed by a consortium led by Commerzbank and other leading German and European commercial banks.
