Having occurred for over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911, the day comes a chance to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness about discrimination, and take action to drive gender parity.
While on the ground on at the UKHFCC event in Solihull, UK, on Tuesday (March 7), H2 View spoke to Clare Jackson, Chief Executive of Hydrogen UK who said, “Hydrogen is such an exciting area to be working in,” while stressing the need to see more women in the sector.
“We need more women. We need more diversity in this sector. We’ve got a great set of women already working in this area, and we want more to come and join the party,” Jackson said.
H2 View will be broadcasting an exclusive pre-recorded webinar today, curating some of our female speakers over the past 12 months, covering topics from power, mobility, to technology and more, this free-to-view webinar is available on gasworld.tv at 14:30pm (GMT).
We recognise that the celebration of women in hydrogen should not be limited to a single day, so in partnership with Women in Green Hydrogen (WiGH), H2 View is launching an exclusive bimonthly series of interview with WiGH members.
Established in 2020, WiGH set out with the vision to increase the visibility and amplify the voices of women working in the industry. With a network of over 900 members, the organisation is championing women in the green hydrogen sector.
H2 View’s first interview with Faria Rafique, Scientist, Innovation at TFP Hydrogen Products LTD, is now live, here.
