He will assist H2 Green in expanding its portfolio of hydrogen and renewable energy projects and potential as a UK project developer.
Alongside overseeing ITM Power’s listing on the London Stock Market, Cooley has worked closely with the UK Government and member of the Hydrogen Advisory Council, as well as a board member for RenewableUK.
He has successfully led numerous transactions and raised substantial investment capital. Other positions include CEO of Sensortec, Founder of Metalysis, a spin out from Cambridge University, and Founding CEO of Antenova.
Cooley said, “I believe the H2 Green team to be first class and their ‘pure play’ UK project developer status alongside the projects they have gathered to date, makes them a highly attractive proposition, one I believe I can help reach its full potential.”
Richard Bennett, Getech Executive-Chair, said it look forward to Cooley applying his vision and experience to developing H2 Green.
He said, “His appointment will also allow me to focus more on the development of Getech’s core business of utilising its valuable proprietary skills and data to support the development of geoenergy projects such as CCS, geothermal and the search for crucial minerals that are vital to energy transition.”

The UK government has set a strategic goal of domestically producing 10GW of hydrogen by 2030 and we want H2 Green to be a key player in delivering this goal.”
