The H2 View Hydrogen Summit in London – to be held at The Science Museum from May 22-23 and under the theme of A Successful Ecosystem for Green Hydrogen – is dedicated to dissecting the ecosystem requirements to truly realise a green hydrogen-fuelled future across industries, transport, and society.

The summit already boasts a compelling and varied agenda of speakers to share their insights and calls to action, but H2 View can now reveal the addition of its new Make Hydrogen Happen Panel to the event – an immersive, engaging panel discussion that it aims to make a signature element of all in-person events going forward.

Delegates can expect no slides, no presentations nor pitches – simply an expert, informed panel focused on candid viewpoints and topical debate. To be held in the exhibition area during the half-day preceding the main summit agenda, the panel promises to be a raw and dynamic addition to the event’s content and leverages H2 View’s unparalleled experience in driving discussion, debate and information across its monthly magazine and hugely popular webinars platform. It also represents an exclusive Q&A opportunity for all exhibitors and delegates in attendance.

When and why?

The Make Hydrogen Happen Panel will take place from 3:00pm – 5:00pm (BST) within the exhibition area at the event.

Part of the aim of the panel is to cut through the polished pitches and narrative of so many of the events in the increasingly saturated hydrogen circuit; to do what H2 View does best in providing the content that matters, and disturb any of the complacency that could creep into discussions surrounding hydrogen’s role in the energy transition and how best to achieve that.

It will give invaluable airtime to the challenges at the heart of actually making hydrogen happen, whether in the UK, other regions or globally; where the disconnect may be in overcoming these challenges; what needs to happen next to capitalise on the opportunities ahead; and the inevitable splinter topics that will arise as a result of genuine cross-panel conversations in hydrogen and energy.

The inaugural Make Hydrogen Happen Panel in London will comprise of Dr. Michaela Kendall, CEO and co-founder of UK fuel cell innovator Adelan and UK Hydrogen Champion at Mission Innovation (BEIS); Celia Greaves, CEO and Founder of the UK Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (UK HFCA); Karina Kocha, Business Intelligence Manager for gasworld, which has recently been profiling the merchant hydrogen market state-of-play and opportunities ahead; Martina Wettin, Market/PR Director and Partner at Nilsson Energy; and Ravin Mirchandani, Executive Chairman of the Ador Group. Rob Cockerill, Content Director for H2 View, will be the panel’s moderator.

Upon the close of the panel session, and following a short break, formal debate will turn to informal discussion and networking as H2 View further welcomes all speakers, sponsors and delegates to London and the event by hosting its Welcome Networking Reception within the same exhibition hall at the Science Museum.

The next day, the event officially begins with the main summit content programme, no doubt with plenty of food for thought gained from the prior afternoon’s Make Hydrogen Happen Panel.
