Brad Miller © Loop Energy
Brad Miller joins the Board as part of the company’s efforts to evolve its board, which last year (2022) saw Kent Thexton and Paul Cataford join as Board Chair and Chief Financial Officer respectively.
Miller joins with experience as President and owner of AdvanTec Global Innovations which expanded into developing reformers for stationary hydrogen-electric generators and hydrogen fuelling station equipment.
Previously, he founded IMW industries, a manufacturer of compressed natural gas (CNG) equipment and grew the business to over $100m in revenue and 700 employees worldwide.
Loop has said, in conjunction with Miller’s appointment, Neil Murdoch has resigned from the board.
“We’re excited to welcome Brad and look forward to drawing on his extensive experience in hydrogen and cleantech manufacturing sector,” said Thexton. “Brad’s knowledge and expertise in scaling manufacturing operation is a value-add at the board level as we grow Loop Energy and leverage its proprietary technology.”
Ben Nyland, CEO of Loop Energy, commented, “Brad’s experience in scaling manufacturing operations and driving profit margins will be beneficial to Loop Energy and our team. More focus on emerging and profitable market segments and an emphasis on sizing our operation to current market conditions will drive profitability and shareholder value appreciation sooner.”
In an interview with H2 View last year (2022), Nyland said the company’s projections suggest it will sell 500 fuel cell units in 2023 alone.
