The office will provide improved access to the company’s procurement, quality control, technical assistance and project execution in the region, where Howden has been present for over 31 years.

It will support Howden’s Net Zero by 2035 strategy to grow across wastewater, hydrogen, energy and renewables, and power generation sectors across Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific (APAC), aiming to serve as the Howden activity hub in the region.

The largest impact the business will have on global sustainability will be through its partnership with customers to supply equipment that will have an impact on their carbon emissions and sustainability.

Camille Levy, President of the Asia-Pacific Region at Howden, commented, “The opening of our new office in Singapore comes on the back of the growth we are experiencing in Southeast Asia, particularly in hydrogen.”

“Howden has a long history of strength in both traditional and emerging sectors in Singapore and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia. We already support over 1,300 installed equipment.”

Earlier this year, Howden signed a contract to supply its hydrogen reciprocating compressors for an MSB unit at the Numaligarh Refinery Expansion Project (NREP) in India.

The supply came as part of the company’s expansion project to be Net Zero by 2035, in a hope to improve efficiency and sustainability.
