As part of the collaboration, Nel initially ordered two HMS4-4 compressors for wet hydrogen, and one MS3-3 oxygen compressor from SIAD MI for a 20MW plant in Sweden.
H2 View understands Nel hope the deal will allow it to ramp-up deliveries of its electrolyser systems for the production of green hydrogen.
Having produced and distributed technical gases for almost a century through its parent company SIAD, SIAD MI says it is ideally positioned to partner with Nel.
Commenting on the agreement, Fabio Margheritti, Business Development Manager at SIAD MI, said, “It is very important to provide our customers with competitive solutions in terms of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership): through this framework agreement we have achieved this goal, which is even more significant in the green hydrogen application.”
Mauro Acquati, Compressor Division Sales Manager at SIAD MI, added, “With respect to the global climate emergency, this agreement demonstrates the commitment of SIAD MI and its partners towards decarbonisation, in the transition from traditional sources of energy supply, such as coal and fossil fuels, to renewable energy sources.”
