Verdagy says its large-format cells are designed to operate at industry-leasing current densities, as well as its wide operating ranges enabling the production of the ‘lowest cost’ per kilogramme of green hydrogen when coupled with renewable energy.

Commenting on the award, Marty Neese, CEO of Verdagy, said, “We are energised to see investment in hydrogen technology rise in visibility as a whole. Investing in green hydrogen is pivotal to creating momentum and breakthroughs as a means to meet worldwide decarbonisation goals and ultimately combat climate change. This is really an exciting, impactful industry, and Verdagy is honoured to win this award.”

In 2021, Verdagy teamed up with Permascand to develop a more efficient electrochemical cell to produce green hydrogen, with hopes of commercialising a novel large aspect ratio electrolysis cell, capable of managing heat and stress better than current systems.
