
The ongoing crisis in the Middle East could give a boost to green hydrogen and derivative production in South Asia, as ammonia and urea supplies are disrupted and major shipping lanes face closure.
That point was made by Ed Crooks, Vice-Chair Americas at Wood Mackenzie, who highlighted the Strait of Hormuz’s key role in global fertiliser trade, during an episode of the analyst group’s Energy Gang podcast.
