Woodside weighs Beaumont CCS expansion as blue ammonia demand trails

Woodside Energy has warned that demand for low-carbon hydrogen-based ammonia is growing more slowly than expected, potentially affecting plans to expand carbon capture capacity at its new Texas facility.

Speaking during the company’s Q4 2025 earnings call, Acting CEO and Chief Operating Officer of Australia, Elizabeth Westcott, said the firm would align its project’s carbon capture expansion with market demand.
