Exxon pulled into antitrust fight over blue ammonia access to CO2 pipeline

ExxonMobil and its Denbury carbon capture unit are facing an expanded antitrust and unfair competition lawsuit in Texas, after a blue ammonia developer alleged the companies leveraged control over a carbon dioxide pipeline to cut off a rival project.

The suit, filed by start-up Clean Hydrogen Works, has added ExxonMobil as a defendant, alleging that after Exxon acquired CO2-enhanced oil recovery firm Denbury, the oil and gas major forced Denbury to break existing agreements with it.
