In doing so, RATP would be greatly enhancing its capabilities in providing fast recharging stations for its electric buses.

To achieve this aim, RATP is currently in discussion with L-Charge to provide a unique hydrogen-powered electric charging solution which will facilitate its depots with off-grid charging points powered by hydrogen that integrates into its Bus2025 plan.

The new orders follow the Bus2025 plan by RATP to procure up to 800 electric buses by 2024 to replace existing diesel buses and combat smog in the greater Paris area.

Dmitry Lashin, CEO of L-Charge, said, “The electric vehicle revolution won’t keep rolling unless charging infrastructure keeps up. L-Charge’s unique products help bridge the gap between underdeveloped EV charging networks and fuelling infrastructure.”
