Ballard Power Systems has halted new hydrogen fuel cell investments in China as Beijing turns to domestic suppliers to meet demand, its new CEO said.
Marty Neese told H2 View despite the early success Ballard had found in its fuel cell making joint venture (JV) with Weichai Power, it was “less clear” whether the Canadian company could meet Chinese demand.
