Res Integra, an industrial plant EPC firm, will install Ohmium electrolysers at an unnamed facility in the Siracusa industrial area in the east of the Italian island.
Despite not naming any specific offtakers or use cases, the partners say hydrogen produced by the plant will be used to support “efforts to decarbonise regional industrial operations and mobility.”
Ohmium is expected to start shipping its electrolysers this year, with no revealed plant start-up date.
H2 View contacted Ohmium for confirmation on the plant’s start-up and offtake but received no response at the time of publishing.
The firm offers modular 0.5MW PEM electrolyser systems which can be linked to form larger plants.
