The solution boasts proprietary software capable of managing the injection of hydrogen into a diesel engine to reduce emissions and fuel costs. It was tested under commercial conditions and continuous operation at H2i’s R&D and Production Centre.

The test results found that the Australian company’s system could potentially deliver “industry-leading” outcomes in fuel, NOx, CO2 and smoke opacity reduction when attached to a diesel engine. The system’s pricing mode can also deliver a 12–18-month payback period on fuel savings per unit.

Measured against Automotive Industry Standards, the test results on a 220kW generator showed fuel savings of 24.5-27.1%; exhaust NOx reduction of around 30%; opacity reduction of over 41.5-44.5%; and reduced CO2 emissions of 19.4%.

Following hundreds of hours of internal tests, H2i will now commercialise its operations, with further installations planned for the Middle East, Asia, North America and Australia. Producing 1,000 units per month, H2i will focus on the steel manufacturing, agriculture, construction and mining sectors.

“We have received independent verification of our technology which is supported by our local supply chain and manufacturing capabilities that can deliver 1,000-plus units per month on demand,” explained David Vinson, H2i Technology’s Chairman.

“We believe we have built a strong platform that is ready for global expansion and will deliver on the sales opportunity we have at hand.”

H2 View understands H2i Technology will now launch a capital raise to finance the delivery of its systems.
